In March 2012 the WDIYC will again be hosting a pavilion at the prestigious International Hardware Fair in Cologne. About 20 member companies will be exhibiting at this show. The WDIYC will be hosting an International Networking Reception co-sponsored with EDRA (European DIY Retail Association) NRHA (North American Retail Hardware Association) and IHA (International Hardware Association).

Over 50 Member companies exhibit at the National Hardware show each year in Las Vegas. The Council holds it's Annual Meeting prior to the show with speakers and invited guests. A networking reception follows.

International WDIYC Networking Reception – Cologne International Hardware Fair

The Council will be holding an evenings reception during the International Hardware Fair in Cologne, open to members and guests and co-sponsored with EDRA (European DIY Retail Association) NRHA (North American Retail Hardware Association) and IHA (International Hardware Association).
North American DIY Store Tour
April 26th – May 3rd, 2012
In our commitment to increase international contacts and sales leads the WDIYC will be hosting an industry first in the form of a DIY Store Tour for International Retailers and Manufacturers to discover North American markets. The Worldwide DIY Councils fully escorted store tour will take place for a week (26th April - 3rd May 2012) and will include a three day trip to Vancouver to research and study retail markets and goods sold in Canada, followed by four days in Las Vegas (a 2 hour flight from Vancouver) which will include a store tour sponsored by the NHS, invite to the WDIYC Annual Meeting and WDIYC/NHS Reception (see below) and the International Hardware Show, North America's largest trade show for the industry where over fifty DIY Council members exhibit their products. Space is limited to 20 participants (Vancouver/Las Vegas) and 40 total for the Las Vegas portion and is open to anyone working in the industry.

President's Party – Vancouver, Canada

April 27th will see the WDIYC President host an evenings reception for the participants (and spouses) of the Canadian section of the North America DIY Store Tour. No cost for WDIY Council Members.
WDIYC 2012 Annual Meeting

The Annual Meeting of the WDIY Council will take place on Monday April 30th in Las Vegas (4.00pm – 6.00pm). Location, speakers and agenda will be announced in March 2012.

Following the Annual Meeting of the Council an informal networking party for members and guests will take place in Las Vegas (April 30th, 6.00 pm – 8.00pm).
WDIYC and NHS International Networking Reception
May 2nd, 2012
Following the Las Vegas Store Tour (2nd May 2012) the National Hardware Show and the WDIYC will host an international networking gathering for all international guests who have participated in the DIY Store Tour and for NHS and WDIYC guests.
